2/8/2024 0 Comments Ar wing pro rcgroups![]() That then gives me a few metres of really good turbulators. Too much is no good so I use a good head torch as well as the stair light to help. To get them stiff enough to work and be straight and lie flat I tie a fishing weight on one end and tie a length to the top of the stairs, then i dribble just a very small amount of thin cyano until complete. For 'String' turbulators I use fly fishing backing line which can be hollow or braid fishing line in different thicknesses. 4mm width, great for FF but not so for RC. For tape turbulators I still use Chartpak tape which goes down to. With turbulators in the past I always found it difficult to keep them straight and just to be stiff enough to do their job. This might be of interest or might not be. Mine are all still to shiny and don't get out enough! Your planes look as though they earn their keep as well. It's easy in free flight models to see the immediate results but more difficult in RC models more so in powered models than gliders. I know how important they are as I have some planes that without them they would hardly fly but with them they fly superb. With my limited flying area it's not so important but it has made me think and I might just try just to experiment. Obviously unless you live on the coast or have access to good open land over here it's not something you'd think about stalling at 'Range'. I have that on my Talon Gt, on my Dart 250G, Don Dart 635mm OG, on a EDF F16, and on my 100+km FPV rig (Go Discover). Its obvious that the plane needs some device to lower its stall speed. ![]() Price is 350 with DJI Air Unit installed as pictured, 250 with NIB. I would like to meet locally in central California, but will consider shipping at buyer's expense if nobody local wants it. ![]() This flies great, but am selling it because I'm more of a quadcopter guy. I'm using my NT with a 4S1P 21700 4250mAh li-ion, and. Selling a Sonic Modell Ar Wing Pro, fully built with only three flights on it. As far as i know, at this moment there is no FC and no firmware capable of getting a fixed wing out of stall. To me, to my way of usage, is at most importance for the plane to do not stall! If for some reason my plane stalls while is at some distance, most likely will make me lose video (first) and Tx/Rx (command second). Also they improve plane's overall handling and flying, and stability-wise too - there is some improvement (mostly noticeable in heavy turbulent conditions). measure it by gliding it without them and stalling, and with them and not stalling - fairly simple. Is performance more lift? Better speed range? Without going into a long conversation as these things can generate a whole separate heated discussion! Did you try on one wing first or just decided to place on both and how did you measure the increase in performance. Not sure what VG is? Surprised to see them on the Nano Talon. I have turbulators on my free flight models and I have employed them in the past on 2m gliders.
